Sakura Festival 2013

Visit Langelinie Park in Copenhagen and celebrate the Japanese Sakura Festival.

Hanami, which literally means “flower-view”, is an old Japanese tradition. When the Sakura (cherry blossoms) are in bloom, the Japanese people get together with their family, friends and lovers under the blooming trees, to enjoy their beauty.

Copenhagen Sakura Festival is a FREE event, so please bring you parents, best friends, sister or brother to enjoy a lovely day under the cherry blossoms. Watch a tea ceremony, try calligraphy writing, learn how to fold paper-origami or taste the Japanese variant of curry at the Festival. On stage you can experience a kimono show, martial arts, music, dancing and more from the Japanese culture.

See you on the 27th to 28th of April at Langelinie!

Visit the Sakura Festival homepage for more information.
