J-popcon is proud to announce a new contribution to our Cosplay show, namely the Danish qualification round for the ECG, European Cosplay Gathering, with the finals held in Paris during Japan Expo, the biggest convention in Europe.
ECG aims to be for Europe what the WCS is for the world; a place of gathering for cosplayers from wide and far, to show and share their common passion for cosplay and to develop new and lasting bonds across borders.
ECG does however differ, in the way that there’s not only a duo category but also one for solo performers! This year it will in practical terms mean that cosplayers can now sign up for international qualification, participating in all of our qualification rounds. For solo performers this will mean the ECG and EuroCosplay and for group performers both the ECG and WCS.
Please note that, as with the WCS, rules and regulations at the ECG finals differs from the qualification round at J-popcon. All rules and regulations regarding the ECG, both qualification and finals, will be available within the next few days.
