Help create J-Popcon 2014 and make it an awesome convention for everyone.
In addition to the organizers, who work year round to plan an awesome convention, we also need volunteers, called gophers, to make it all work at J-Popcon.
A gopher has a number of shifts during the weekend, with the number of hours depending on the number of gophers volunteering. In return we offer free access to J-Popcon.
Jobs are varied and might be: runners and stage hands, wardrobe attendants, cinema attendants, manga café attendants, gaming area patrol, dealer room patrol, reception, odd jobs, assistance during events and competitions.
Wishes will be taken into account as much as possible in the design of the duty roster, such as particular times, or if two gophers would like to work together.
Most of the time you will share a shift with somebody else, so you won’t be alone. The exceptions are the cinema and gaming area patrol, but they have a built-in pastime amusement.
After the convention J-Popcon will select the best volunteer/gopher with great prizes to be won.
